Katniss Everdeen: The Girl On Fire

Katniss Everdeen is a sixteen year old girl who volunteers to take her sister's spot in the games. Ever since her father died in a coal mining accident she became the provider for her family. In order to do this she goes out into the woods and hunts for animals to feed her family and trade to the community who is starving. Her close friend Gale comes with her to hunt. She is very skilled with a bow and arrow which gives her an edge in the game. She is not always the most friendly and has no interest in any extravagant things the Capitol has to offer. She sees that the Capitol is unjust and she wants things to change.
